It is again time to pass the Traveling Bead Box on to the next lucky winner via a new "Sisterhood of the Traveling Bead Box Contest!
Today is Wednesday, September 22, 2010. I will run the contest until Monday, September 27, 2010 8:00 am Pacific Standard (California) time at which time I will randomly select the winner from all who post a comment to this blog.
As some of you know, I was the last winner of the Sisterhood of the Traveling Bead Box. I received it from Chris Neit: Good Quill Hunting. Previous winners were: “When you get the box, you take out what you want and then swap in with equal or greater value. Then, blog (I think a facebook note is fine, too) about it and give folks a chance to win it! Once its over, the whole box will end up with Heather so she can go ahead and have her turn before dividing the rest up into prizes.” Quoted from Hannah’s blog.
So you will want to leave a comment on my blog with your name and email and I will choose a winner September 27th. If you win, I will send you a PayPal invoice for $14.95, which is a large sized priority mail box.
From my personal collection I have included a Laura Mears handpainted Seahorse, a Susan Clarke Original button, some of my own glass cabs I make myself which includes an Alphonse Mucha Art Nouveau, among others things.
Here is what is in the box now:
I just don't have time for all this blog stuff! It takes me away from my true love, BEADING!
While I have always considered myself fairly "tech savy", (after all I did manage to create a website for our Central California Bead Society) I have also found the task of setting up a blog branches out into a whole other level of "tech savy"!
Between RSS feeds, Monetizing, HTML and a plethora of other intimidating phrases and technical catchwords, I almost scared myself off from creating my first blog.
Actually, I was supposed to do this a year ago when I first proudly joined the Etsy Beadweaver's Team. I put it off and put it off since, well, I HAD fulfilled the other requirements for joining. And, besides that, I just don't have the time to sit down and figure it all out!
Between my beading and ummm, my beading, and of course my beading, then there is the newsletter for the bead society I belong to and am the editor for, I just don't have the time! (For those of you shaking your heads at that horrendous run on sentance, don't. I just don't have the time to correct it!)
Soon after joining the Etsy Beadweaver's Team I also joined Facebook, hoping I would be able to gleen some information on how I could step up the sales of all this art jewelry I have been creating. Although the economy of course has had much effect on that, I have learned much and met many wonderful people through these two venues.
Gorgeous Blogs with great information, extremely talented artists and eye candy for days has stepped up my creative spirit and inspiration for all things beady which, by the way, brings me right back to I DON'T HAVE TIME TO LEARN TO BLOG!
Just so you know the real truth behind my finally getting off my duff to create a blog, I have to blame it all on Christine Neit of Good Quill Hunting ( http://goodquillhunting.wordpress.com/ ) who viciously chose me as the winner of the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Bead Box"! Have you ever heard of anything so mean in your life?
Truthfully, I am sooo excited to receive this and am happy to create the "Blog that Started it All", so that I too can pass it on to the next winner. Once I receive the box and get to play with it awhile I will post some pictures and a blog to begin to send this wonderful treasure on it's next journey to the succeeding lucky winner. So, please stay tuned and bear with me while I navigate the outerlimits of this thing called "A Blog"...
